The best state to be in when you turn up for a relaxing spa treatment is to be stressed.

I showed up 10 minutes late for my Turkish hammam appointment at the Crystal Palace Spa in London – dodging tourists on a Saturday, you catch my drift?  It’s not in Crystal Palace, south London nor does it look like a crystal palace like er, the Crystal Palace from outside.  No, this Crystal Palace spa is in Marylebone with a glowing reputation if the reviews on Wahanda are anything to go by.

Crystal Palace Spa – better than Morocco!

Last month, I was in Tangier, Morocco, and had my first ever hammam in a hotel (I’ll try the local hammam next time!)  I loved the experience, so came back wanting to find an equivalent in London.  A few days later, an offer from Crystal Palace Spa landed in my inbox.  I couldn’t resist buying this for my partner’s birthday.

It may only have been open since July 2011, but Crystal Palace Spa is already proving to be the ultimate Moroccan and Turkish hammam spa destination in London. With pristine décor dominated by sparkly blue lapis-lazuli tiles, the spa is welcoming and clean.
